J. Peter McLemore, III, DDS

“I enjoy being able to use a combination of art and science to improve my patients’ quality of life and build relationships. I can’t imagine anything I’d rather do.”

Dr. Pete’s interest in dentistry began years ago as a child when he would spend his summer vacation helping his dad in the dental lab. Today, Dr. Pete enjoys creating healthy, beautiful smiles in the Jackson community.

Outside the office

Dr. Pete and his wife of 28 years, Nancy, have three children, Jay, Rachel, and Thomas. Jay is a dental student, Rachel a nursing student, and Thomas is a college freshman. They are active members of First United Methodist Church in Jackson. Their dogs, Sadie, Beau, and Sam provide the “pitter-patter” of paws in the house while the kids are off at school!

Staying healthy and active is important to Dr. Pete. In high school and college, he ran track and cross-country. Dr. Pete still enjoys running and working out at the gym. More recently, he and his brother, Dr. John, have been playing golf. A few years ago, they began teaming up together in annual matches against their dad, Dr. Mac, and sister, Molly. We are optimistically waiting for the day when Dr. Pete and Dr. John claim a victory!

Local and foreign missions are close to Dr. Pete’s heart. He partners Nathan Young of Jackson’s Care Center, providing dental service at no charge to the ladies served by this ministry. He has participated in a number of medical/dental mission trips to Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, serving the dental needs of peoples in remote regions and sharing his love of Christ.
